"Colon Contando, Don Cristóbal Navegando"

The group of theater and puppets "La Tarumba," after our success with the play "Las Adventures de Don Quixote," which was performed for more than 15,000 children and over 30 school in Miami-Dade, and with the encouragement of school administrators, teachers, theater critics, producers, and spectators who enjoyed the play, we now present a new play for the fall 2003 called "Colon Contando, Don Cristobal navegando", This play tells the story of Christopher Columbus, in a clear and fun way, beginning with the adventures of his life and ending with the discovery of the New World. 

Our techniques remain the same: Puppets, theater, music, Chinese shadows, and the active participation of the audience. All these in conjunction with the talents of the actors make possible the objective our group has had since its creation, "To stimulate in our children the creativity, fantasy, and love for art and reading"
